Flower Shoppe Cricut Cartridge flowers cut at 2 inches.
Hot Glue Gun
Quilling Tool
Hi everyone, my post today is a little short as Brighton is back in the hospital again. So I am writing this from his hospital room. First, let me say if you don't have the Flower Shoppe Cartridge - add it to your list. It is sooo much fun!
At first I was intimidated by these beautiful flowers, but now I am having so much fun creating them. The quilling tool makes it easier to roll each flower. While there are a lot of videos on You Tube on how to use this cartridge. I watched every one before I got started. Then finally I had the guts to make the first cuts. I am so glad that I did.
I have found when you roll your flower roll from the smaller end to the middle tab. I roll the whole flower and glue at the end. The quilling tool also helps your flower stay tight and formed. At the end apply a little hot glue on the tab and hold when you do watch out because you could burn your fingers. I did this several times.
Then you are ready to shape your flower. Very carefully shape the petals like you would want them to be. You can spritz the cardstock with a little bit of water to help this go better. I did this on one flower but not on all.
These flowers are so much fun to make. I can't wait to make many more!
Now be sure to check out what the rest of the Purplies have for you today. I have seen some of their flowers and they are beautiful! Don't miss them. Here is the line up:
